Hello Michigan Members,
In every meeting with my employer we start the meeting with a reflection… So today, I would like
to do the same…. The reflection for today is, “ The measure of intelligence is the ability to
change.” Alber Einstein. As I am thinking about what to put down on paper I keep thinking about
how this is so hard to write. The president’s message is really hard. Is it a message or is it a notification. How do you do both? I want you all to know that THIS is one of my most difficult things
to do. (I am sure the Journal chair would agree as she is always after me..LOL) So this time it is
going to be more of a THANK YOU to you all and some thoughts to ponder….
First off, I want to say thank you to all of my state officers and board of directors. You all have
given you time and so much of your talents to this society. Please – don’t stop. Your dedication is
EVERYTHING and for that…. I say…THANK YOU!!
To you, the members..some thoughts to ponder – I would hope that you treat your job as your
career. As with any career, you still need to learn. With learning, this society does it’s best with
giving you those opportunities to gain CEU’s. Not only on your local level but on the state level
and National level. Take advantage of this.
Many of you may think that it is expensive… it is only as expensive as you want it to be. If you
treat your job as your profession – it’s worth every penny! Always strive to learn. Always treat
being a credentialed medical assistant as YOUR profession! You never know when it may turn
into something much more. Be dedicated. Desire to do more- change. Don’t be afraid-learn.
Change only happens when you want it to. And most importantly ….BE INVOLVED. The only
way to change something is to be involved. Remember our reflection at the beginning… Albert
Einstein said, ‘The measure of intelligence is the ability to change’ without learning there is no
change. Without Change there is no growth. So let’s keep learning, changing and growing
together.
And finally… some upcoming information; Make sure you follow our website, social media and
