Hello Michigan Members,
I am excited to be your President for 2024-2025. We have some new members on the board with new ideas which is exciting. On the website you will find information about upcoming conferences that will be updated as the information becomes available. These are a great way to get CEU’s and meet others from around the state. If you can stay for a board meeting when we have an in-person conference, this is one way to see what we do and how you can become involved. You will also find a roster of the board members and ways to contact us and other information about the Michigan Society of Medical Assistants (MSMA).
I would like to repeat something our Past President Smith said in one of her messages. This quote from Albert Einstein “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change” without learning there is no change. Without change there is no growth. So let’s keep learning, changing and growing together.” This is so true, thanks Christa!
Finally, the exciting news for this fall is the AAMA National Convention will be held at the Amway Grand in Grand Rapids, MI Sept. 23-26, 2024. We have been working for a year getting speakers lined up and they are going to be great! Some of our own members will be presenting so lets show our support by attending the conference. You can come for a day or the whole weekend. The registration is on the AAMA website (aama-ntl.org). Lets show the country how proud and strong Michigan is!
